Dr. K. K. Kantha was born in Chapra, Bihar, on 13th August 1952. He completed his MBBS from Darbhanga Medical College and later earned his FRCS in General Surgery from England. After practicing in the UK for nearly 10 years, he returned to Bihar in 1991 to serve his homeland.
He established his nursing home on Boring Road, Patna, and became one of the pioneers of laparoscopic surgery in Bihar. Through workshops and training programs across the state, he played a major role in advancing modern surgical techniques in the region.
Known for his exceptional surgical skill, compassion, honesty, and ethics, Dr. Kantha touched thousands of lives during his 30-year surgical career and was regarded as one of the finest surgeons of his generation.
He passed away on 22nd May 2021 due to COVID-19, leaving behind an enduring legacy in the field of surgery and in the hearts of countless patients and well-wishers.
